It is election night. Linda Jakobsson, married for 30 years to the Social Democratic finance minister Gert Jakobsson, sits at home on the sofa watching the election drama unfold on TV. Linda hears the commentators talking about the Social Democrats' biggest defeat, and just a glimpse of her better half on TV is enough: she can see that he has now decided to crush Prime Minister Per Viksten and take over as party leader himself. She can see it because she knows her husband as the power-hungry person he is. Mentally and physically, he has been exploiting his power over her for many years now.

1. Part 1Election night 2006 at the Social Democratic party headquarters. The election is lost, and the struggle for power over the party begins. When outgoing Prime Minister Viksten decides to remain as party leader the start of a game behind the scenes commences to replace him with Finance Minister Gert Jakobsson. While Jakobsson appears calm and in control in his profession, he shows a vastly different side of himself at home. 2. Part 2Intrigue thickens and Gert Jakobsson evolves into the natural choice for the post of party leader. Meanwhile his repression of his wife Linda reaches levels that are not acceptable for anyone.
