Play Movy is free and doesn't sell your data or run advertising trackers. This policy explains the small amount of information we do handle.

What we collect

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent personal information.
Legal bases (UK and EU)
- Contract: running your account and the features you use.
- Legitimate interests: security, preventing abuse and keeping the service working.
- Legal obligation: handling copyright notices and responding to lawful requests.
Third parties
Some parts of the site load content from other services, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies:
- Supabase, which stores account data when accounts are enabled.
- TMDB, which serves artwork images.
- YouTube, which plays trailers. We use its privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube may still set cookies once a trailer plays.
- Video hosts and embedded players, for Free Films and other playback. They operate under their own privacy policies.
Copyright notices may be shared with the person who provided the material and with services such as Lumen that publish takedown notices, with personal contact details removed where appropriate.
How long we keep it
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Copyright notices: as long as needed to handle the matter and meet legal obligations.
- Server logs: a short period, then deleted.
- Browser storage: until you clear it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your information, object to or restrict certain processing, and complain to your data protection authority. Email midnightclipsofficial@proton.me. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Children
Play Movy isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Kids profiles are created by an account holder and filter titles, but don't collect extra information.
Security and transfers
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections. Our providers may process data in other countries; where required, appropriate protections are in place.
