The documentary was produced and directed by Wilson's brother-in-law, Billy Hinsche. The original title was "Dennis Wilson: Cease to Exist". That was also the original title of the Charles Manson song that Dennis Wilson converted in to Beach Boys song "Never Learn Not to Love."
