Stone Lion
Stone Lion is the final film in Robert Darroll's Korean Trilogy. It begins with sliced layers of repeated squares that recede into the distance and give the sensation of vertigo while flying amoebic abstractions float all through the underground tunnel. The film then continues further into a dream world, exemplifying Darroll’s craft at its finest. Taking over two years to complete, Stone Lion was made on 16mm film using analog processes without any digital or computer assistance.
