"The Pelicans of Rimac" is an interesting documentary from the French-language series "Sylvie's Universe, Amateur Reporter," which portrays a Lima far removed from the progressive myth of the 1950s. The courageous gaze of children becomes complicit in the wandering of street children and inhabitants and intuits, in the provocative image of the pelicans, the reasons for migration, hunger, and poverty, as well as their marginalization and disconnection from the city's colonial heritage.
