Marquee
Marquee combines a transistor radio playing 1540 AM Radio Korea with moving images depicting a figure holding a clapboard, a sequence of words written and read aloud in English and Korean, and 16mm black-and-white films of mountaintop and the interior of a movie theater. Awash in red light-the first color to fade from human vision, and thus ubiquitous in darkrooms and cinemas-the immersive installation extends Mira's investigation into the edges of human perception.
